REFINING: Dos Bocas Refinery Restarts Following Halt in Mid-December

The Pemex Dos Bocas refinery restarted between the end of February and early March and is currently processing 100kb/d of crude oil, Bloomberg said.

• The facility was shut in mid December due to a lack of refinery-ready oil with too high salt content produced by Pemex. The issue has impacted at least three of the seven refineries in Mexico.
• In January, Dos Bocas processed zero crude but operated secondary units to output about 20kb/d of petroleum products, including 13kb/d of gasoline and 5kb/d of diesel.
• The restart follows a report from a company official on Feb. 27 that a restart was imminent.
