POWER: German Carbon Spot Permit Price Falls

The latest weekly German EUA CAP3 auction cleared lower at €75.84/ton CO2e, compared with €80.71/ton CO2e in the previous auction a week ago according to EEX.
- The cover ratio stood at 2.3, compared with 2.25 in the previous auction and above the five-year average.
- The mean price stood at €76.11/MWh and the median price stood at €75.48/MWh.
- There was a total of 23 bids with 15 successful bids.
- EU ETS December 2025 allowances are tracking a weekly net decline of almost 6%, weighed on by forecasts for milder weather and sharp losses in EU gas prices. EUAs extended the bearish sentiment from the previous week, following the potential for US tariffs on Europe.
- EUA DEC 25 down 0.6% at 77.58 EUR/t CO2e
