Feb-05 15:29

Lithuania’s Litgrid will reconstruct the 330 kV Siauliai–Tytuvenai transmission line in the Centre-North and Centre South of Lithuania to enhance grid reliability, reduce electricity losses, and support renewable energy integration, it said.

  • The unit will be completed in mid-2027 and will cost an estimated €15.8mn.
  • Separately, the total permitted generation capacity of solar and wind power plants in Lithuania now exceeds 3.8GW, accounting for over half of the country’s electricity generation capacity.
  • By 2030, Lithuania plans to connect around 10GW of renewables to the grid through growing consumption and exports.
