California’s natural gas prices were largely higher yesterday, amid rising demand and falling supply.
- SoCal City Gate Spot was up $0.14/MMBtu yesterday to $2.74/MMBtu.
- SoCal Border was up $0.1/MMBtu yesterday to $2.05/MMBtu.
- PG&E City Gate was down $0.05/MMBtu yesterday to $2.44/MMBtu.
- Malin was up $0.05/MMBtu yesterday to $1.8/MMBtu.
- Total state-wide demand in California was 5.28bcf/d yesterday, up by around 0.14bcf/d. Demand is 0.51 bcf/d, or 10.6% above the 30-day average.
- End user demand was up 114 mcf/d to 4.53 bcf/d. This compares to the 30-day average of 4.08 bcf/d.
- Exports to Mexico were 1.9% stronger yesterday at 0.42bcf/d. This compares to the 30-day average of 0.37 bcf/d.
- Net natural gas inflows to California via pipeline stood at 5.56bcf/d, down by around 0.03bcf/d on the day. Pipeline inflows are inline with the 30-day average.
