US LNG: Freeport CEO says demand exceeded forecasts

• Freeport LNG CEO and founder Michael Smith at CERAweek said on Wednesday he expects world demand for the super-cooled fuel to continue to exceed industry forecasts.
• "We've been selling every molecule we produce because demand exceeded the forecast. And I see the same thing happening right now”
• Freeport is operating below full liquification capacity though, at around 1.9 to 2 bcf ytd despite average high daily liquification of 2.1 bcfd, and even demonstrating a high of 2.3 bcfd mid-Sept 2024
