Germany’s private Baltic Sea LNG terminal has no more regasification slots available this year due to high demand for gas, Deutch Regas said, cited by Bloomberg.
- LNG delivery ships have been calling at the terminal in Mukran every week for about three weeks and that rate is set to continue.
- The need for gas is “underlined by the latest decisions of the EU Commission to extend the requirements for filling storage facilities,” Managing Partner Ingo Wagner said, cited by Bloomberg.
- The Mukran terminal struggled with low utilisation rates last year, Bloomberg said.
- Deutsche ReGas plans to reinstall a second FSRU at its Deutsche Ostsee LNG terminal from 2027.
