AMERICAS OIL: Malaysia’s Petronas Eyes Exit from Vaca Muerta

Malaysia’s Petronas is evaluating a sale of its oil asset in Argentina, a move that would complete its exit from the Vaca Muerta shale play.
- It follows as several international drillers look to divest from the region.
- Equinor is also eyeing an exit from Argentina, while Total said this week that it would sell if it could reap the sort of rich valuations that Exxon got, Bloomberg said.
- This would leave the shale play mainly to domestic companies.

- Peripheral stats see indirect take-up slips to 60.98% vs. 64.18% prior; direct bidder take-up rebounds to 19.67% from 9.62% prior; primary dealer take-up rises to 19.36% vs. 15.11% prior.
- Timing today's 3Y note sale: results will be available shortly after the competitive auctions closes at 1300ET.
