China can offset the negative impact of U.S. tariffs by leveraging procurement towards domestic firms impacted by the duties, the Public Procurement Branch of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing said on Friday.
The federation called on members to work with industry associations to identify candidate enterprises, noting that SOEs must embrace the responsibility of serving the nation’s greater good.
The proposal prioritises buying cutting-edge domestic equipment, core materials and services, the notice said.
