TotalEnergies has signed a sale and purchase agreement with Oman LNG to offtake 0.8mtpa of LNG for ten years from 2025.
- The agreement, following a term sheet signed last year, makes TotalEnergies one of the main offtakers of Oman LNG’s production.
- The company has a 5.54% stake in Qalhat LNG and 2.04% in Oman LNG.
- TotalEnergies has also taken a final investment decision on the 1mtpa Marsa LNG bunkering project in Oman.
- The liquefaction plant will be built in the port of Sohar and LNG production is expected to start by Q1 2028 and primarily intended for the marine fuel market in the Gulf.
