Chevron is working to restart supply from the Wheatstone domestic das facility in western Australia, following a production outage, a spokesperson for the company said.
- “The cause of the outage has been identified and restart activities will commence when safe to do so.”
- “Relevant stakeholders have been notified and we will continue to keep them informed as we work to resume production.”
- According to the Offshore Alliance, the unit may be down for five days. “2 1/2 days before Protected Industrial Action kicks in on the Chevron facilities, Domgas has tripped at Wheatstone Downstream. They’ve lost a pump and the spare is in bits. Wheatstone Domgas is likely to be down for 5 days”, the unions said in a social media post.
