Monday’s EU ETS CAP3 EU auction cleared at €68.48/t CO2e, down from €69.16/t CO2e in the previous auction according to EEX.

• The average price in May stood at €69.69/CO2e.
• EUA DEC 24 down 2.4% at 70.22 EUR/MT
• The EU ETS Dec 24 contract continues to trade lower on the day amid losses in European coal and gas benchmark prices but rebounded slightly after the auction cleared.
• Total volume amounted to 3.1mn tons CO2e.
