Germany plans to increase the capacity of the oil pipeline between Rostock and the PCK Schwedt refinery, Germany’s economy minister Robert Habeck said.

  • The German government plans to ramp up the pipeline’s capacity from 65% to 75% of the Schwedt refinery’s capacity. The government would finance the expansion and is therefore likely to take a stake in the pipeline, Habeck said.
  • Last month Germany received confirmation that commercial crude deliveries for the PCK Schwedt refinery will be delivered via Gdansk and further via the Polish pipeline system to Schwedt.
