MNI (LONDON) - The European Central Bank has been clear in keeping all options open regarding forthcoming meetings “both in the number of cuts and the size of these cuts,” ECB Vice President Luis de Guindos said in an interview with Ansa on Tuesday.

However, de Guindos stressed the importance of the medium term for the transmission of monetary policy: “Fine-tuning monetary policy is very complex and the important signal is the medium-term trajectory,"  he said.

He defended the need for a gradual approach to policy and prudence in the light of current geopolitical uncertainty.
