ExxonMobil's 252kbpd Joliet refinery, Illinois, remains shut and without power after a total shutdown on July 15 following a tornado, according to spokeswoman Catie Tuley cited by Bloomberg.
- The refinery's units were expected to be down for a week with plans to restart over last weekend after the power outage took 16 units offline on July 15, according to data from IIR.
- It will be possible to determine the full extent of the damage once power is restored, Tuley said.
- The company is working with federal, state and local emergency planning officials and is asking for expedited assistance.
