Freeport LNG said July 15 that it expects to restart its first LNG train this week after suffering damages during Hurricane Beryl, Reuter said.
- Freeport will then restart trains 2 & 3 shortly after. Production levels after the restart will be at reduced rates for a period of time as repairs continue.
- Freeport LNG has cancelled at least four scheduled cargoes due to the halt from Hurricane Beryl, according to Bloomberg sources.
- The restart will relieve some supply concerns, although the market will keep a watchful eye on feedgas flows and the extent that further cargoes could be cancelled while output is reduced.
